The staff worked hard to ensure that the place had the right atmosphere and I found them to be very helpful and friendly. The facilities were basic but perfectly adequate for a great stay and the way the hostel was laid out around a central courtyard ensured that it was very sociable. There was an 11pm curfew which everyone respected and meant people could get a decent nights sleep ready for the following day.

Me and my mate, had a great time staying at Caravella Backpackers – the aircondition worked very well and when we decided to stay there for one more night, there was no problem and they made the resevation in one minut! Very good place if you are a backpacker and wants a cheep hostel with nice facillities!

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und organisiert problemlos Touren oder Shuttle o.ä. Die Hygiene in den Bädern ist ziemlich gut. Die zwei Küchen werden täglich 3 mal gereinigt, jedoch sind die Gäste für das Abwaschen ihres Geschirrs verantwortlich, wobei da jeder eben seine eigenen Maßstäbe setzt… Es gibt insgesamt zehn Herdplatten und relativ viele Töpfe. Besteck, Tassen und Müslischalen sind eher Mangelware. Die Lage ist direkt am Meer und damit neben der schönen Esplanade. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ganz gut zu Fuß erreichbar.

Excellent service. Friendly knowledgeable staff who are happy to help you book a variety of tours. Clean stench-free rooms, relaxing atmosphere and amiable fellow clientelle. Note that it does quiet down at 11pm so if youre looking to party all night where youre staying will be better off to select one of the hostels attached to a bar – although even here you’ll be a 10 minute walk from those same bars. They just wont be beside your head when you’re ready to sleep ☺

Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer, das in einem kleinen Haus mit nur 4 weiteren Zimmern war. Das Badezimmer mussten wir uns daher nur mit wenigen Leuten teilen und es war meistens frei. WLAN ist in den öffentlichen Bereichen sehr gut und schnell gegangen! Lage des Hostels ist perfekt, da man sofort im Zentrum ist!

Really relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. We had a twin en-suite which had loads of space and a fridge which was really handy. You could pay extra for Wi-Fi in your room and it worked really well. Kitchen was well equipped and we used it a lot.

Very close to the Esplanade (promenade) and it’s only about a 15min walk to the fleet terminal for the Reef cruises. Staff are friendly & there’re two kitchens which are spacious. Curfew at 11pm also makes sure you can sleep without disturbance. What I like most is the fridge inside the room instead of in the common kitchen area.

The staff is excellent and very friendly. Hostel is very clean and neat and bonded by the rules, which makes is suitable for category of budget travelers. Location is very good, close to Esplanade.
